Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chinese Chef based in New Delhi. The Chinese Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality Chinese cuisine, creating innovative menus, ensuring consistency and presentation of dishes, and maintaining hygiene standards. The role also involves managing kitchen operations, training kitchen staff, sourcing ingredients, and ensuring food quality meets the restaurant's standards of excellence.
Qualifications
- Expertise in preparing traditional and modern Chinese dishes
- Menu planning and understanding of food pairings to create a unique dining experience
- Proficiency in food safety and kitchen hygiene practices
- Leadership and team management skills with experience in training kitchen staff
- Strong understanding of ingredient sourcing and kitchen inventory management
- Exceptional culinary presentation and plating techniques
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary arts diploma or relevant professional certification is preferred
- Prior experience in fine dining restaurants or five-star hotels focused on Chinese cuisine
