Mobile Fleet Mechanic:
 
Chinchor Electric, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Mobile Fleet Mechanic for a full-service medium/heavy duty fleet truck and equipment maintenance shop. We are looking for a motivated vehicle service and repair technician with minimum of 5 years experience.
 
We are a rapidly growing industrial and commercial electrical/utility contractor. This is a unique opportunity to work for an established company with plenty of room to grow. Working schedule is full time, Monday- Friday 6am- 4:30pm (negotiable), with rotating after hour's service.
 
Compensation and Expectations
 
  • Job Type: Full Time, Hourly Non-Exempt
  • Salary: $30+ per hour, negotiable - depending upon experience
  • 20%-night shift differential
  • MUST have a clean driving record.
  • Take home company vehicle.
  • Rotating on-call schedule    
 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
 
  • Chassis inspection, basic engine, transmission, brake, tire, suspension service with high level understanding of 12V DC electrical
  • Emissions diagnosis and repair
  • Applicant must have computer literacy.
  • High level of integrity, able to work independently and with others.
  • Document all services and repairs performed.
  • Generate and complete work orders and with detail- oriented documentation daily.
  • Willingness to gain knowledge and experience through provided training, safe work practices and habits.
  • Must be able to make independent decisions.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
 
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
 
  • 5 years minimum of mechanic experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Welding experience a plus
  • CDL A Driver’s License - preferred
  • Personally maintained tools up to 1/2" drive
 
 
Physical Demands:
Must be able to perform multiple tasks and can handle the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50lbs.
