Role Description
The Children's Book Writer at ToppersNotes will create engaging, age-appropriate stories and educational narratives that align with the company’s learning goals. This full-time, on-site role in Jaipur involves researching topics suitable for children, outlining story structures, and writing clear, engaging manuscripts. The writer will collaborate with editors, illustrators, and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy, readability, and alignment with curricula where relevant. Day-to-day tasks include drafting new content, revising based on feedback, adapting complex concepts into child-friendly language, and maintaining consistency in tone and style across books. The role also includes contributing ideas for new series, supporting training materials for young learners, and meeting publishing timelines.
Qualifications
- Strong Writing skills with demonstrated ability to create engaging, age-appropriate content for children.
- Background or interest in Literature and Publications, with experience in working on books or educational materials.
- Proficiency in Editing, including revising manuscripts for clarity, grammar, and style consistency.
- Experience or aptitude in Training-related content creation, such as educational stories, activity-based learning, or curriculum-aligned materials.
- Excellent command of written English; knowledge of additional Indian languages is an advantage.
- Ability to research academic and competitive exam topics and present them in child-friendly formats.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with designers, educators, and other writers on-site in Jaipur.
- Bachelor’s degree in Literature, Education, Journalism, Creative Writing, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in children’s publishing, edtech, or educational content development is a plus.
