Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Children’s Book Proofreader (K-8) located in Delhi, India. The Proofreader will review and edit children’s books to ensure accuracy in spelling, grammar, and style, while maintaining child-appropriate readability and tone. Core responsibilities include proofreading, identifying and correcting errors, ensuring consistency, and collaborating with writers, illustrators, and editors to achieve high-quality content for children. The role also involves ensuring that the text is aligned with educational and cultural standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Spelling and Grammar
- Proven expertise in Proofreading to identify and correct textual errors
- Excellent Communication skills for collaboration with team members
- Knowledge or experience in Translation is a plus
- Attention to detail and ability to adapt to child-friendly language
- Familiarity with K-8 educational content is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field is preferred
