Summary: To support the Museum Store and Retail Manager, the CMOP Shop needs a Lead Retail Associate. Our Lead Retail Associate needs to be fun, friendly, and have a passion for toys! The LRA will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting visitors, maintaining the presentation of the sales floor, and being a support system for our Shop Associates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome and acknowledge all visitors to the Museum
- Inform families on / enforce all Museum Safety Protocols
- Process credit card, cash, and other monetary transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Meet Department Revenue Goals by selling Memberships, Gift Cards, and Signature Programs with an emphasis on Store Merchandise
- Promote all current sales and discounts
- Stock shelves daily at the direction of the Shop Manager
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient Stock Room, Shop Office, and Sales Floor at all times
- Manage training program for new shop associates
- Maintain and control Shrink
- Assist in Receiving of store merchandise
- Maintain all back of the house storage areas
- Communicate positively and professionally to co-workers in all levels of the organization
- Close / Balance daily cash drawer
- Stay up to date on museum policies, exhibits, and events
- Work with a high level of energy, strong work ethic, and sense of excitement
- Other duties as assigned
