About the role

Why Join ChildCareGroup

Founded in 1901, ChildCareGroup’s (CCG) mission is to champion a strong early childhood system that teaches children and parents, trains early childhood professionals, and assists families.

Why this Role Matters

The Inclusion and Behavioral Health Manager plays a critical role in ensuring children and families receive the inclusive, responsive, and compassionate support they need to thrive. This position helps turn systems, standards, and services into meaningful experiences for children with disabilities, developmental delays, and behavioral or mental health needs. By guiding teams, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring compliance with Head Start and licensing requirements, this role helps create environments where children are supported, families feel empowered, and educators are equipped to meet diverse needs with confidence and care.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and strengthen inclusion and behavioral health services across Head Start and Early Head Start programs to ensure children receive timely, high‑quality support.
  • Ensure full compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, Child Care Licensing, and contractual requirements related to disabilities, mental health, and inclusion.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop inclusion staff while building effective systems for assessment, service delivery, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Partner with educators, families, and community providers to coordinate services, address behavioral and mental health needs, and promote inclusive practices.
  • Use data, analysis, and collaboration to guide decision‑making, improve program outcomes, and advance ChildCareGroup’s mission.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in special education, counseling, psychology, early childhood education, or a related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least two years of experience providing inclusion or behavioral health services, preferably within Head Start, Early Head Start, or early childhood settings.
  • Experience supporting children with disabilities, developmental delays, or behavioral or mental health needs within regulated programs.
  • Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, Child Care Licensing requirements, and best practices related to inclusion and behavioral health services.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, guided by a commitment to equity, collaboration, and ChildCareGroup’s mission and values.
