Job Title: Child Development Specialist (0–3 Years) – Home Visits (Contract Role)
Role Overview
We are hiring Child Development Specialists to work directly with families of children aged 0–3 years. This is a field-intensive, contract-based role focused on conducting home visits, setting up development-friendly environments, and coaching parents to support their child’s overall development.
The role blends observation, hands-on execution, and parent guidance — not classroom teaching.
Key Responsibilities
1. Mandatory Home Visits
- Conduct scheduled home visits (non-negotiable)
- Observe the child in their natural home environment
- Build working relationships with parents and caregivers
2. Developmental Observation & Support
- Track child development across:
- Social-emotional
- Language & communication
- Fine & gross motor
- Independence & self-care
- Focus & concentration
- Flag early concerns or delays
3. Home Environment Setup
- Guide families in setting up developmentally appropriate spaces at home
- Recommend simple, practical materials (not expensive setups)
- Align home environment with child’s developmental stage
4. Activity Planning & Demonstration
- Create simple, practical activity plans for parents
- Demonstrate how to do activities during visits
- Focus areas include:
- Movement & coordination
- Language building
- Emotional regulation
- Confidence & independence
5. Parent Coaching
- Help parents handle real-life situations:
- Tantrums, hitting, crying
- Routine building (sleep, feeding, play)
- Translate child development into clear, actionable guidance
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain structured notes after each visit
- Track progress and share updates internally
- Follow defined protocols and checklists
Eligibility Criteria
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience
- Freshers with strong interest in early childhood development can apply
Educational Background (Any of the following)
- Psychology
- Early Childhood Education
- Human Development / Child Development
- Social Sciences
- Home Science
- Humanities or related fields
(Formal specialization in early childhood is a plus, not mandatory)
Skills Required
- Strong interest in working with young children (0–3 years)
- Comfortable working inside homes with families
- Good observation and listening skills
- Ability to explain concepts simply to parents
- Empathy, patience, and emotional maturity
- Basic structure and discipline in reporting
