Child & Family Agency (CFA) seeks a full time Registered Nurse to work 2nd shift to be an integral part of the care team for the Urgent Crisis Center (UCC) at CFA. The UCC is a free-standing behavioral health crisis stabilization program designed to triage, stabilize, and assess youth who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis, and then link the youth/family to an appropriate level of care within the community. This is a fast-paced environment that operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Medical, psychiatric, substance abuse triaging of clients
• Provide crisis stabilization/de-escalation services to children, adolescents and families who present to the Urgent Crisis Center
• Support day to day operations of the services program procedures collaboratively with the Program Manager and Director of the UCC
• Collaborate with UCC Team to identify and respond to client and family needs
• Provide quantitative and qualitative documentation of sessions and summary documentation in Electronic Medical Record database within Agency-specified timeframes.
• Positively collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including medical, psychiatric and behavioral health professionals
• Actively participate in supervision and team meetings
• Provide skilled nursing interventions targeted at pediatric psychiatric and substance abuse population needs, as the clinical situation and treatment plan demands
Minimum qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
• Unencumbered Connecticut RN license
• Background in SUD/psychiatric nursing, preferred
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification, current
