Content Creator Summer Internship-Unpaid
10–20 hours per week | Hybrid or fully remote | Potential academic credit
Are you always filming, editing, posting, or keeping up with the latest content trends? Do you love creating videos and content that grabs attention and tells a story? Child and Family Agency of Southeastern CT is looking for a Content Creator Intern to help bring our mission to life through video and digital content.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants real experience creating content for a nonprofit making a difference in the community. You’ll help showcase our programs, events, and impact in ways that feel fresh, engaging, and meaningful.
Responsibilities:
• Create short-form video content for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms.
• Film behind-the-scenes moments, events, staff highlights, and community stories.
• Brainstorm fun and creative content ideas that help grow awareness and engagement.
• Design supporting graphics, stories, and posts for social media.
• Help manage posting schedules and content calendars.
• Track what content performs best and share ideas for improvement.
• Stay on top of social media trends, sounds, formats, and platform updates.
• Conduct research on relevant topics and trends in mental health, child welfare, and social services to inform content creation and strategy.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Knowledge of social media best practices and trends, including experience with content creation, scheduling tools, and analytics platforms.
• Strong eye for storytelling, visuals, and what makes people stop scrolling.
• Creative, reliable, and excited to try new ideas.
• Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a team.
• Passion for helping others and raising awareness about mental health and social services.
• Organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Southeastern Connecticut communities and resources is preferred.
