Required Qualifications
● 18–25 years in technology; 7–10 years in senior leadership (CTO / VP Eng / SVP Technology) running 100+ engineer organizations
● Non-negotiable hands-on technical depth — can review architecture blueprints, challenge system design trade-offs, and command Principal Engineer respect through judgment, not title
● Proven track record of designing and restructuring technology organizations: inherited an org, redesigned it, made it leaner, delivered better with fewer people
● Experience driving AI-first engineering transformation with measurable productivity and headcount efficiency outcomes
● Owned and optimized large technology + cloud budgets; track record of cost-per-transaction economics and Board-level ROI presentations
● Scaled technology platforms 5–10X — architected infrastructure and teams through a major scaling inflection point
● Built and shipped AI/ML products in production — not notebooks, real customers at scale
● Board communication skills: translate complex technology into business outcomes that non-technical directors can evaluate
