i4car is an inspection-first, buyer-seller marketplace where:
• Cars are listed with verified inspection reports
• Buyers access full data, videos, and pricing insights
• Test drives are managed end-to-end

We aim to become India’s most trusted platform for used car transactions.
Role: Founding CTO
We are looking for a technical co-founder who will:
• Lead the complete technology vision and architecture
• Build and scale the product from MVP to full marketplace
• Own backend, frontend, mobile apps, and infrastructure
• Design systems for scalability, security, and performance
• Work closely with the founder on product and business strategy
This is a hands-on role, not just managerial.
What You Will Build
• Buyer & seller mobile applications
• Inspection report system (media-heavy architecture)
• Auction/bidding engine
• Payment and escrow systems
• Test drive booking & logistics platform
• Admin dashboard for operations
Must Have
• Strong experience in building scalable products (0 → 1 preferred)
• Full-stack development expertise (backend + frontend)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
• Strong product thinking and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work in early-stage ambiguity
Good to Have
• Previous startup experience
• Experience with marketplaces or transaction platforms
• Understanding of fintech/payments systems
• Interest or experience in automobiles
Preferred Background but not mandatory
• Alumni from top Indian institutions (IITs, NITs, IIITs, BITS, top private colleges)
• Strong engineering fundamentals
• Builder mindset over pedigree
NOTE: Talent also welcome on the basis of previous work/projects.
