Role Description
We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who believes in betting on themselves.
Aurovia is a pre-seed, pre-revenue company at the starting line of something significant. We are not offering a comfortable salary and a benefits package. This is a contract, remote role. You will own the full technology vision and execution across Aurovia's ventures, including VENTEX, our pioneering flagship initiative. You will work hand in hand with company leadership to turn vision into architecture, and architecture into a scalable, fundable business.
Formal compensation terms will be established in connection with our fundraising milestone.
What You Will Own
- The complete technology strategy and roadmap across Aurovia's venture portfolio
- All software development and product development initiatives from the ground up
- IT architecture decisions that will define the company's technical foundation for years to come
- Technology hiring, vendor relationships, and infrastructure buildout
- A direct partnership with executive leadership to ensure technology and business strategy move in lockstep
Who We Are Looking For
- Someone who has built products from 0 to 1 and understands what that actually requires
- Deep expertise in Software Development, Product Development, and scalable Architecture
- Proven ability to make smart technology decisions with limited resources and high stakes
- Experience navigating the ambiguity and pace of an early-stage environment
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to represent the technical vision to investors, partners, and future hires
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Prior experience in a senior technology leadership role
- Experience at a pre-seed, seed, or early-stage venture-backed startup is strongly preferred
