Job Summary:
The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is responsible for the overall safety, security, and risk management of The Zora – Delhi Convention Center. This role ensures a secure environment for guests, staff, VIPs, and assets by implementing robust security protocols, managing large-scale event security, and coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Security Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, SOPs, and risk mitigation strategies
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits of the premises
- Plan security coverage for high-profile events, exhibitions, and conferences
2. Operations & Surveillance
- Oversee day-to-day security operations including access control, patrolling, and surveillance systems (CCTV, screening equipment)
- Ensure 24/7 monitoring of the facility and immediate response to incidents
- Manage crowd control and ensure smooth movement during large gatherings
3. Event Security Management
- Lead security planning and execution for corporate events, concerts, exhibitions, and VIP visits
- Liaise with event organizers to align security protocols with event requirements
- Manage deployment of manpower, barricading, frisking, and emergency exits
4. Team Leadership & Training
- Recruit, train, and supervise security personnel and third-party agencies
- Conduct regular drills (fire, evacuation, emergency response)
- Ensure staff are trained in first aid, crisis handling, and customer interaction
5. Compliance & Liaison
- Ensure compliance with local laws, fire safety regulations, and licensing requirements
- Coordinate with police, fire department, and other government authorities
- Maintain documentation for audits and inspections
6. Crisis & Incident Management
- Lead response to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, security breaches, or threats
- Develop contingency plans and business continuity protocols
- Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports
7. Asset Protection & Loss Prevention
- Safeguard physical assets, infrastructure, and intellectual property
- Implement theft prevention and loss control measures
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and decision-making ability
- Expertise in large venue/event security management
- Crisis management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of surveillance systems and security technology
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Security Management, Criminology, or related field
- 10–15 years of experience in security management, preferably in hotels, convention centers, or large venues
- Background in defense, police, or paramilitary services preferred
