Role Description
The Fractional Chief Sales Officer is an execution-focused remote leadership role. Unlike a traditional strategist, this is a "Founding Seller" position where the primary mandate is direct institutional selling to colleges, universities, and large educational clusters. You will be responsible for leveraging your existing network to place our Career OS into the Higher Ed ecosystem, owning the full sales cycle from initial outreach to contract execution.
This is an organic growth role: you will act as the primary individual contributor to fund and sustain the expansion of the sales department. Upon reaching a revenue milestone, the role will transition to include a retainer salary/fee and the mandate to begin building and managing a high-performing sales team. Until then, you will serve as the "Executionist-in-Chief," translating market feedback into product requirements and driving the revenue that builds the organization.
Qualifications
- Seasoned Institutional Seller: 15+ years of experience in high-value enterprise sales, with a specific, deep-rooted network within Higher Education and Technical Institutes.
- The "Executioner" Mentality: A proven track record of being a "hunter" who thrives on closing deals personally rather than managing others' pipelines.
- Revenue Driven: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed aggressive sales targets in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Network Advantage: Immediate access to decision-makers (Trustees, Directors, and Deans) within the Indian educational landscape.
- Entrepreneurial Grit: High comfort level with a performance-based compensation model (Founders Equity + High Commission) during the initial growth phase.
- Strategic Communication: Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills, capable of pitching complex AI infrastructure to institutional boards.
- Tech Literacy: Familiarity with the AI or EdTech sector is a significant advantage; the ability to explain "Agentic AI" concepts simply is good-to-have.
- Educational Background: Degree in Business, Marketing, or a relevant field; an MBA is preferred but secondary to a proven sales track record.

Compensation Note (For Initial Outreach/Post)
- Phase 1 (Initial): High-impact commission structure + Founding Member Equity. Business expenses adjusted against commissions.
- Phase 2 (Milestone-based): Transition to a retainer salary/fee and team-building budget upon reaching established revenue milestones.
