Key Responsibilities
Hospital Operations
- Oversee daily hospital operations including IPD, OPD, diagnostics, nursing, pharmacy, facilities, and support services.
- Ensure smooth coordination between clinical and non-clinical departments.
- Implement SOPs, quality standards, NABH guidelines, and operational best practices.
P&L & Financial Management
- Own Profit & Loss responsibility for the hospital/unit.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and operational plans.
- Drive revenue growth, cost control, and margin improvement initiatives.
- Monitor billing efficiency, collections, AR, and vendor management.
Process Improvement & Quality
- Track and improve key operational KPIs (ALOS, occupancy, TATs, patient satisfaction, cost per bed, etc.).
- Lead process optimization, digitization, and efficiency improvement projects.
- Ensure patient safety, service quality, and continuous improvement.
People & Leadership
- Lead department heads and middle management teams.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention of key staff.
- Build a high-performance, patient-centric culture across the hospital.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards (NABH), and statutory norms.
- Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and medico-legal risks.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key interface with doctors, consultants, TPAs, insurance partners, vendors, and internal leadership.
- Support business development, corporate tie-ups, and referral relationships.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: MBA / MHA / PGDM (Hospital or Healthcare Management preferred)
- Experience: 15–18 years in healthcare operations, with at least 5–7 years in a senior leadership role (COO / Unit Head / Operations Head).
