To build this correctly, we need someone who has deep, real-world understanding of how factories actually operate beyond theory, beyond dashboards.
Role Overview
This is a COO / Co-founder position focused on:
→ Translating real manufacturing operations into scalable intelligence systems
→ Bridging the gap between shop-floor reality and AI-driven decision-making
You will be a core part of the founding team, working directly with the founder and AI engineers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Industrial Problem Discovery
Identify high-impact inefficiencies in:
- Energy usage
- Machine utilization
- Production planning
- Maintenance
- Validate real-world pain points across industries
2. Operational Intelligence Design
Translate plant operations into:
- Decision flows
- Optimization logic
- Real-time actions
Define:
- What decisions need to be automated
- What data is required
- What actions should be triggered
3. Pilot Execution (Critical)
- Lead on-ground deployments in factories
- Work with plant teams (operators, engineers, managers)
- Ensure solutions are practical and usable
4. Product Development Collaboration
Work closely with AI engineers to:
- Build relevant models
- Improve accuracy
- Ensure real-world applicability
5. Industry Insights & Strategy
Help define:
- Ideal customer profile (ICP)
- Industry focus
- Expansion strategy
- Build relationships within manufacturing ecosystem
6. Bridge Between Tech & Operations
Act as the translator between:
- Engineering team
- Industrial clients
Required Experience
Must Have:
5–15 years experience in manufacturing operations
Experience working in:
- Production
- Plant operations
- Industrial engineering
Strong Understanding Of:
- Machine utilization & production workflows
- Energy consumption patterns in plants
- Maintenance cycles and breakdowns
- Shop-floor constraints and decision-making
Exposure To:
- PLC / SCADA systems
- MES / ERP systems
- Industrial automation environments
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Ex-Plant Head / Operations Manager / Production Lead
- Hands-on, execution-focused
- Comfortable working on-ground in factories
- Strong problem-solving mindset
- Able to think in systems, not just processes
What This Role Is NOT
- Not a corporate operations role
- Not a 9–5 job
- Not limited to execution
This is a 0 → 1 building role.
