Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a leading regulatory pharmaceutical manufacturing organization. The candidate should possess strong exposure in Formulation OSD operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic plant management. The role will be based at the corporate office in New Delhi and will oversee end-to-end operations of multiple manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complete operations of two regulatory pharmaceutical manufacturing plants.
- Drive operational excellence across Production, QA, QC, Engineering, Warehouse, SCM, and Dispatch functions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including WHO-GMP, USFDA, MHRA, EU-GMP, and other international guidelines.
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans for productivity, quality, and cost optimization.
- Handle end-to-end Supply Chain Management and coordination between manufacturing units and corporate office.
- Monitor plant performance, budgeting, capacity utilization, and process improvements.
- Lead cross-functional teams and strengthen organizational efficiency and compliance culture.
- Support business expansion, audits, technology upgrades, and operational scalability initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
- Strong exposure in Formulation OSD manufacturing is mandatory.
- Must have worked as COO / Group Operations Head handling multiple manufacturing sites.
- Proven experience in managing at least two pharmaceutical manufacturing plants.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements for domestic and international markets.
