About the Role
EXC Managed Services (“EXC MS”) is ElevenX Capital’s multi-service operating company, delivering IT managed services, marketing services, website-building/digital services, and talent acquisition services to clients. EXC MS is seeking a versatile, hands-on Chief Operating Officer to run day-to-day operations across IT Operations, Marketing, Website-Building Services, and Talent Acquisition — translating strategy into disciplined execution, owning P&L performance, and building a scalable, multi-service organization.
The COO reports to the President of EXC Managed Services, who in turn reports into Xforce. This is a hands-on operating role for a leader who has run diversified service lines under one roof, is comfortable carrying a sales quota alongside operational duties, and can move fluidly between strategic planning and day-to-day delivery management.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & P&L Ownership
- Own full P&L accountability for EXC Managed Services, including budgeting, forecasting, margin management, and cost discipline across all service lines.
- Translate the President’s strategic priorities into executable operating plans, KPIs, and quarterly business reviews.
- Standardize processes, reporting, and governance across IT Operations, Marketing, Website-Building Services, and Talent Acquisition to ensure consistent quality and accountability.
- Identify shared-services and cross-sell opportunities across service lines (e.g., IT clients as website-build prospects, TA clients as marketing prospects).
- Represent EXC MS operating performance to the President and, as needed, to Xforce leadership.
- Other Duties as assigned.
IT Operations & Managed Services Delivery
- Oversee IT infrastructure, systems architecture, cybersecurity posture, and helpdesk/managed-services delivery for EXC MS clients.
- Ensure SLA adherence, uptime, and service-quality benchmarks are consistently met across the managed IT portfolio.
- Drive automation, ticketing, and systems integration (PSA/RMM, ERP, CRM, HRIS) to improve delivery efficiency and margin.
- Own vendor and technology-partner relationships supporting IT service delivery.
Marketing Leadership
- Own EXC MS’s marketing function — brand positioning, demand generation, content, campaigns, and digital presence — across all service lines.
- Build and manage a marketing pipeline that feeds both the IT managed services and website-building services businesses.
- Establish marketing KPIs (pipeline generated, cost per lead, conversion) and report performance against targets.
- Ensure marketing messaging and positioning are consistent across EXC MS’s service portfolio.
Website-Building Services — Sales & Delivery
- Personally drive and/or lead a sales motion for EXC MS’s website-building/digital services line, including prospecting, pitching, proposals, and closing.
- Own the delivery model for website-building engagements — scoping, project management, quality assurance, and client handoff.
- Set pricing, packaging, and margin targets for the website-building service line, and scale it into a repeatable, sellable offering.
- Build and manage the sales and delivery team supporting this service line as it scales.
Talent Acquisition
- Oversee delivery of Talent Acquisition services — whether as an internal function, a client-facing TA/RPO managed service, or both — ensuring SLA adherence and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Build scalable sourcing, screening, and hiring processes usable both for EXC MS’s own hiring and for any TA managed-services clients.
- Partner with delivery leadership to strengthen client relationships and grow the TA services portfolio, where applicable.
People & Organizational Leadership
- Build, mentor, and lead a leadership team across IT Operations, Marketing, Website-Building Services, and Talent Acquisition, fostering shared accountability.
- Establish clear goals, KPIs, and accountability structures across all functions reporting into the COO.
- Champion a culture of operational discipline, sales accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including at least 3–5 years in a COO, VP of Operations, or General Manager capacity within a multi-service or managed-services business.
- Demonstrated experience running IT managed-services delivery (SLAs, infrastructure, cybersecurity) is required.
- Direct experience owning or closely partnering on a marketing function — demand generation, brand, campaigns.
- Proven sales experience, ideally selling professional/digital services (website design/build or similar), with a track record of closing and scaling a service line.
- Experience in Talent Acquisition, ideally within a managed services, RPO, or staffing environment.
- Strong command of P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple business lines.
- Experience reporting to a President/CEO or Board, with excellent executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience in fast-paced, growth-oriented, or private-equity/venture-studio-backed environments is a strong plus.
