Job details:
Worli Naka, Mumbai • Reports to the MD In-office, 6 days a week
The honest version
We run three businesses out of Worli Naka, Mumbai — a Chinese cloud kitchen chain with 8 outlets across Maharashtra, an Indian Oil retail outlet, and a consulting practice.
They've grown. They've also grown messy. Right now, there are several tasks in motion across the group. Most are stuck not because they're hard, but because no one is holding them.
We're hiring one person to fix that.
What you'll actually do
Be the organised one.
Know every open task across the group — what it is, who owns it, when it's due, the latest update, and where exactly it's stuck.
Hold conversations across functions — kitchens, HR, accounts, supply chain, the retail outlet, consulting. Walk into each one knowing what's open with that person and what update you're expecting today.
Follow up. With the person who actually needs to get it done. On Monday, again on Thursday, again the next Monday if you have to — without it feeling personal, without dropping the thread.
When something's stuck, name why and where — waiting on a decision, a document, a vendor, a payment? Owner unclear? Brief incomplete? Stuck without a reason is the enemy.
Run the weekly operating cadence. 24 hours after every meeting, every action item is in the tracker with a name and a date.
Build the one dashboard the leadership team checks every morning. One source of truth — not eight spreadsheets and a WhatsApp group.
The label is Chief of Staff. In practice, it's three jobs in one: project manager (planned work), EA to the MD (unplanned), operations program manager (the system that holds it all).
What this role is
notNot remote. Six days a week, in our Worli Naka office, with outlet and site visits.
Not a strategy seat. You won't make business decisions. Your job is to make sure the decisions made actually get done.
Not single-vertical. You'll move across all three businesses and every function.
Who you are
Obsessed with being organised. Your tracker is always up to date. You notice when a status hasn't moved in five days.
Clear with tasks. Every task you write has an owner, a date, and a defined "done." Vague tasks bother you.
You hold thirty threads at once without dropping any. Ask you on Wednesday where any one stands — you tell us in one line: what it is, who owns it, latest update, what's blocking, what's next.
You diagnose "stuck" precisely. Different blockers need different unlocks. You know which is which.
Relentless on follow-up with the person who needs to do it — not the MD as a proxy. You nudge three times in a week and keep the relationship intact.
You don't freeze when ten things land at once. Triage, prioritise, start moving.
You love task trackers and dashboards. Genuinely. The kind of person who reorganises a Notion database for fun.
Discreet, low ego, comfortable in a family business.
