Job details:
Chief of Staff — Finance & Administration (COS #1)
The role. The operational and financial backbone of Anjli's office. You own the numbers, the reporting, and the administrative machinery so that nothing slips and every decision is backed by clean data. This is a hands-on, detail-obsessed role for someone who finds satisfaction in rigor, accuracy, and well-run process — not a delegator, a doer.
What you'll own
- FP&A and reporting. Build and maintain financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across the office and portfolio; produce timely, accurate management reporting and dashboards.
- Continuous improvement (CI). Identify and fix process gaps; tighten close cycles, reporting cadence, and data integrity; make the back office measurably better each quarter.
- Administrative operations. Run the day-to-day administrative engine — scheduling, document management, vendor and expense oversight, and the systems that keep the office reliable.
- Governance support. Prepare accurate pre-read materials, financial packages, and action-item tracking for committee and board reviews.
- Cross-border finance coordination. Keep finance, reporting, and admin aligned across the Gurgaon and U.S. teams and time zones.
Who you are
- Exceptional attention to detail — you catch the error others miss, and you care that the numbers tie out to the cent.
- Hands-on and reliable; you'd rather build the model and own the close than hand it off.
- Process-minded: you create systems that work when you're not in the room (this role must be backup-able — documented, repeatable, not held in one person's head).
- Calm, discreet, and trustworthy with confidential financial information.
Qualifications
- Strong FP&A / financial reporting / accounting background (family office, PE/VC, or high-growth startup finance ideal).
- Demonstrated continuous-improvement work — you've made a finance or ops function tighter and faster.
- Comfortable with finance systems, spreadsheets/modeling, and reporting tools.
- Based in Gurgaon (or hybrid India–U.S.); comfortable with an EST-overlap shift (≈5:30 PM–2:30 AM IST) for U.S. coordination.
Chief of Staff — Strategy & Operations (COS #2)
The role. Anjli's strategic right hand and force multiplier — the person who turns ambiguous, high-stakes goals into executed reality across a fast-moving, founder-led venture platform. You operate where there's no playbook yet: you architect the approach, build the process, deploy it, and move to the next problem. This is a zero-to-one builder's role for a high-energy operator who has done it before inside founder-led, high-growth companies.
What you'll own
- Strategic execution. Translate Anjli's priorities into roadmaps, drive the highest-leverage initiatives across investments, governance, and outreach to completion, and own the follow-through.
- Operations architecture. Design and stand up the operating cadence of the platform — planning rhythms, decision frameworks, cross-team workflows — and rebuild them as the firm scales.
- Business-process automation. Build and deploy automation and AI-enabled workflows (including with Claude) that make the platform faster and leaner — a concrete expectation, not a buzzword.
- Cross-border orchestration. Act as chief connective tissue across the U.S. and Gurgaon teams — portfolio, talent, legal, finance, marketing — making the whole faster than the sum of its parts.
- Portfolio & studio support. Drive diligence, market and competitor research, and KPI synthesis across the portfolio; surface the insight that changes a decision.
- Communications leverage. Shape investor updates, strategic narratives, and thought-leadership when needed.
Who you are
- A trailblazer and architect — you're energized by ambiguity and build the path rather than wait for one.
- Creative problem-solver and first-principles thinker who still sweats the details (high CI / high attention to detail).
- Hands-on and high-energy; you go from whiteboard to shipped without needing a team beneath you to function.
- Proven as Chief of Staff (or equivalent) to a founder in a high-growth, founder-led company — you've lived the pace and the ambiguity.
- Fluent with modern tooling and AI; you've actually built and deployed automation, not just talked about it.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in COS, strategy, ops leadership, or founder's-office roles at venture-backed / high-growth companies (consulting or PE/VC background a plus).
- A track record of building something from nothing and making it run.
- Bachelor's required; advanced degree/MBA a plus but a real builder's track record matters more.
- Based in Gurgaon (or hybrid India–U.S.); comfortable with an EST-overlap shift (≈5:30 PM–2:30 AM IST).
