PadUp has a preferred customized methodology for such as user centric approach, lean Start-up philosophy, data driven analytical models to build innovative solution to real, emerging and futuristic problems. It also means looking at true entrepreneurs, to give them the autonomy but still have them be connected to the ecosystem.
The Role
This is a unique, high-leverage role. We are looking for an AI-Native Architect who can digitize the brain of a venture firm. This is essentially a Chief of Staff level position framed as a high-growth leadership role. Below is a detailed job description designed to attract a candidate who can bridge the gap between BTech logic and MBA finance.
At Padup Ventures, we don't just invest; we build. We are seeking a rare hybrid—a technologist with the soul of a financier—to become our AI Venture Architect. Her/his mission is to take our proven startup acceleration processes and transform them into an automated, AI-driven platform.
S/he will be responsible for the full lifecycle of a startup: from the first time an AI agent evaluates a pitch deck to the moment we strategize a multi-million dollar exit for a portfolio company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Engineering & Agentic AI Automation
- Audit: Deconstruct our current startup curation and evaluation workflows.
- Automate: Deploy Agentic AI (using frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGPT) to automate scouting, initial due diligence, and market analysis.
- Execute: Manage the "Digital Twin" of our process to ensure no high-potential startup falls through the cracks.
2. Cohort Management & Curation
- Lead the engagement and evaluation of incoming startups for our cohorts.
- Build data-driven models to curate the "best-of-the-best" for our investment committee.
- Interface directly with founders to refine their product-market fit and scale potential.
3. Investor Relations
- Act as a bridge between early-stage Angel and Seed investors.
- Prepare investment memos and data rooms that leverage AI insights to showcase portfolio value.
- Help manage the "Padup Network" of high-net-worth individuals and institutional funds.
4. Portfolio Strategy & Mentorship
- Oversee our existing portfolio of 50+ startups.
- Act as a fractional strategist for portfolio founders, advising on tech stacks, financial modeling, and growth hacking.
- Exit Strategy: Analyze market trends to advise the Padup leadership on the optimal timing for secondary sales, acquisitions, or IPOs.
The Ideal Candidate
- Educational Pedigree: BTech in Computer Science (or equivalent) combined with an MBA in Finance or a similar high-level business degree.
- Experience: 5–15 years of experience in the startup ecosystem, venture capital, or high-level software engineering with a focus on automation.
- The "Agentic" Mindset: You don't just use ChatGPT; you build systems that use LLMs to solve complex, multi-step business problems.
- Domain Passion: A deep-seated interest in how startups are built from $0$ to exit.
- Financial Literacy: Ability to read a balance sheet and value a company as easily as you can read Python or C++.
