Role Summary
- The CMO will join the leadership team to build and scale the agency, drive revenue growth, acquire enterprise clients, lead the marketing and business development teams, and contribute to long-term business strategy. As an equity partner, the CMO will share responsibility for the company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company's growth strategy.
- Generate new business and strategic partnerships.
- Lead branding, digital marketing, sales enablement, and client acquisition.
- Build and mentor high-performing marketing and sales teams.
- Develop marketing strategies for agency clients.
- Own revenue, profitability, and client retention targets.
- Represent the company at networking events and industry conferences.
- Work closely with the founders on business expansion and new ventures.
Eligibility
- 8–15+ years of marketing and business growth experience.
- Proven success in scaling a marketing agency or similar business.
- Strong leadership and P&L management experience.
- Excellent network for business development and partnerships.
Compensation
- Fixed Salary: Negotiable (or lower fixed salary with higher equity).
- Performance Incentives: Revenue/profit-linked bonuses.
- Equity (Stake): 2%–10%, based on:
- Experience and industry reputation.
- Capital investment (if any).
- Business contribution.
- Revenue targets achieved.
- Vesting schedule (recommended: 4 years with a 1-year cliff).
