About the Role
We are looking for a bold, entrepreneurial Chief Marketing Officer to own and scale our marketing engine across multiple geographies. This is a rare opportunity to build marketing from a position of genuine leverage - combining high-growth markets, a strong product, and the freedom to rethink what modern marketing looks like in an AI-native world.
You will own the full marketing funnel: from brand positioning and awareness all the way through to pipeline generation and retention. You will lead a cross-functional team spanning performance marketing, content and SEO, brand, and marketing technology - and you will be expected to use AI tools not as a productivity add-on, but as a core part of how your team operates.
What You Will Own
Growth & Performance Marketing
• Own paid acquisition across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and emerging channels in both India and the US, with full P&L accountability for marketing spend.
• Build and continuously optimise multi-channel demand generation programmes that drive measurable pipeline and revenue.
• Partner closely with Sales and Product to define ICPs, improve conversion at every stage, and reduce CAC while increasing LTV.
• Instrument the full funnel - define the metrics, build the dashboards, and hold the team accountable to outcomes, not outputs.
Organic Marketing & Content
• Develop and execute an organic growth strategy spanning SEO, thought leadership, community, and partnerships.
• Build a content engine that generates high-quality, compounding traffic and positions the company as a category authority in both markets.
• Leverage AI tools to dramatically accelerate content creation, distribution, and personalisation at scale.
• Own email marketing and lifecycle programmes that drive engagement, expansion, and referrals from existing customers.
Brand & Communications
• Define and steward the company's brand positioning, narrative, and visual identity across India and the US.
• Develop market-specific strategies that resonate with local audiences while maintaining a coherent global brand voice.
• Lead PR, analyst relations, and earned media efforts in both markets.
• Build brand awareness and category presence through events, partnerships, and influencer programmes.
AI-Powered Marketing Operations
• Champion the adoption of AI tools across the entire marketing function - from creative production and copy to campaign management, attribution, and reporting.
• Build workflows and systems that allow a lean team to punch well above its weight in output and experimentation velocity.
• Stay at the frontier of AI-driven marketing capabilities and continuously find ways to apply them before the competition does.
Team & Leadership
• Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing marketing team across India and the US.
• Create a culture of experimentation, data rigour, and creative ambition.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and the founding team to align marketing with business priorities.
• Represent the marketing function at the leadership table and contribute to company strategy beyond your immediate remit.
Who You Are
• A generalist CMO who can credibly lead across brand, performance, and organic — not a specialist who delegates everything outside their core.
• Entrepreneurial by nature: you have built or scaled marketing at a startup or high-growth company and are comfortable with ambiguity, limited resources, and the need to move fast.
• An AI-native marketer who actively uses AI tools in your day-to-day work and gets excited about reimagining how marketing teams operate.
• Equally comfortable with strategy and execution - you can set the vision and then get into the details when it matters.
• A strong communicator and storyteller who can craft a compelling brand narrative and also write a crisp performance brief.
• Data-driven without being paralysed by data - you know when to trust the numbers and when to trust your instincts.
• A builder of teams: you attract strong people, give them ownership, and create an environment where they do their best work.
Experience & Qualifications
• 12+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years leading a marketing function at the CMO or VP level.
• Demonstrated track record of driving measurable growth - pipeline, revenue, or user growth - in a B2B, B2C or B2B2C context.
• Experience operating across India and the US, or a strong track record in one market with a clear understanding of how to expand into the other.
• Hands-on experience with modern marketing stacks: CRM, marketing automation, paid platforms, SEO tools, and analytics.
• Direct experience leveraging AI tools - generative AI for content, AI-assisted media buying, or building AI-powered workflows - is strongly preferred.
• Experience building and managing distributed teams across time zones.
