About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and growth-oriented Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead brand strategy, consumer engagement, and market expansion initiatives within the FMCG sector. This role will drive end-to-end marketing transformation, brand positioning, and strategic growth initiatives aimed at strengthening market leadership and accelerating business performance.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in FMCG marketing, brand management, ATL/BTL strategy, consumer insights, and integrated marketing execution, combined with strong leadership and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Define and execute the organization’s overall marketing and brand strategy aligned with long-term business objectives.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives to drive market expansion, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
- Partner with executive leadership to shape company-wide growth strategies and strengthen brand positioning in competitive markets.
- Identify emerging consumer trends, market opportunities, and competitive dynamics to drive strategic decision-making.
Brand Management & Market Positioning
- Lead end-to-end brand development, positioning, and lifecycle management across product portfolios.
- Strengthen brand equity and market visibility through integrated marketing initiatives and differentiated brand experiences.
- Ensure consistency in brand communication, messaging, and customer engagement across all channels and touchpoints.
- Drive innovation in brand storytelling and consumer engagement strategies.
ATL & BTL Marketing Execution
- Develop and oversee impactful ATL and BTL campaigns across digital, print, television, retail, and on-ground activation channels.
- Optimize media planning, campaign effectiveness, and marketing investments to maximize reach and business impact.
- Collaborate with creative, digital, and agency partners to execute high-impact marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
- Drive integrated marketing strategies to improve brand recall, customer engagement, and market penetration.
Consumer Insights & Growth Strategy
- Leverage consumer behavior insights, market research, and analytics to shape marketing strategies and product positioning.
- Translate customer insights into actionable business opportunities and high-impact campaigns.
- Drive customer-centric innovation initiatives aligned with evolving consumer preferences and market demands.
- Monitor campaign performance, market trends, and competitive intelligence to continuously refine marketing strategies.
Business & Commercial Leadership
- Drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability through strategic marketing initiatives.
- Manage marketing budgets, forecasting, and ROI optimization across campaigns and business units.
- Collaborate closely with sales, product, distribution, and business teams to align marketing initiatives with commercial objectives.
- Support product launches, category expansion, and go-to-market strategies for new and existing offerings.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing marketing, branding, and communications teams.
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, collaboration, and performance excellence.
- Manage relationships with agencies, media partners, vendors, and strategic stakeholders.
- Influence and engage senior leadership through strong communication, presentation, and strategic advisory capabilities.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 15–28 years of experience in FMCG marketing, brand management, or strategic marketing leadership roles.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale brand and growth initiatives within the FMCG sector.
- Strong expertise in ATL, BTL, integrated marketing, and consumer engagement strategies.
- Deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and category dynamics within consumer goods industries.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, brand equity, and market expansion.
- Strong experience leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale marketing operations.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
