Role description
Job Title: Chief Manager (Lead – Corporate Transformation)
Location: Mumbai (WFO) | Experience: 8 – 12 Years
Who We Are at STL Digital, we don’t just build software; we engineer digital transformations. We partner with global enterprises with a comprehensive portfolio of services, including Product Engineering, Cloud and Cybersecurity, Data and AI, and Enterprise SaaS.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Transformation Programme Delivery
The role’s primary mandate is to own and deliver digital transformation programmes across HR and Finance from end to end – not just as a project manager, but as a thinking partner who shapes the agenda. This means leading structured discovery with functional teams to surface pain points and automation opportunities, building business cases with credible ROI, securing sponsorship, and then driving delivery with rigour and velocity.
2. Finance Technology Ownership & Automation Scale-up
The Finance technology agenda has three interlocking priorities: implementing flagship programmes (Treasury Management System and Finance Data Analytics Platform) and scaling the automation programme across a defined set of high-value use cases. The goal is a Finance function that operates with greater speed, accuracy, and insight.
3. HR Technology Ownership & Evolution
The role will own the HR technology roadmap – governing and expanding the existing SuccessFactors ecosystem, identifying right fit platforms for the HR function and implementing the Contract Workforce Management System. The objective is a connected, intelligent, and employee-centric HR technology landscape.
4. AI & Emerging Technology Adoption
Beyond delivering the current roadmap, this role is expected to keep STL ahead of the curve – scanning the horizon for emerging technology trends relevant to HR and Finance, building the internal capability to evaluate and adopt them, and creating a culture of digital curiosity within the corporate functions.
5. Stakeholder Partnership & Technology Governance
This role operates at the intersection of technology and the business. Building trusted partnerships with the CHRO, CFO, and their teams – and translating business priorities into executable technology plans – is as important as any technical competency.
Preferred Skills
• 8–12 years of overall work experience, with at least 7–9 years in enterprise technology implementation, digital transformation, or corporate systems roles.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering end-to-end digital transformation programmes in HR or Finance – from stakeholder discovery through go-live and adoption – at scale.
• Hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors (ideally across Employee Central, Performance, and at least one additional module) and / or SAP ERP Finance.
• Experience working as a technology business partner or programme lead in a manufacturing company with global operations is preferred.
• Candidates who have worked in a GCC / Shared Services / Corporate IT function within a large organisation are encouraged to apply.
Technical Competencies
• Enterprise HR & Finance Systems: SAP SuccessFactors, SAP ERP / S/4HANA, Workday, Oracle, or equivalents.
• Process Automation: Leading RPA platforms; familiarity with intelligent document processing and AI-augmented automation.
• Treasury Technology: Experience in implementing a Treasury platform (SAP TRM, or equivalents) and banking connectivity.
• Integration & Architecture: API-based integration, middleware platforms (MuleSoft, SAP Integration Suite, or equivalents), and ETL / data pipeline design.
• Analytics & Reporting: BI tools (Power BI, SAC, Tableau), MIS design, and working knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
• Compliance & Security: DPDP Act, IT Act, IT General Controls (ITGC), and data privacy principles applicable to people and financial data.
Leadership & Behavioural Competencies
• Strategic orientation: the ability to think beyond system implementation to long-term business capability building.
• Executive presence and communication: equally fluent presenting to C-suite stakeholders and working through technical details with a project team.
• Programme discipline: structured, milestone-driven, and unrelenting in delivery – without losing sight of the human change management dimension.
• Collaborative influence: the ability to mobilise cross-functional teams and build consensus without direct authority.
• Intellectual curiosity: a genuine enthusiasm for emerging technology and a habit of continuous learning.
- Ownership mindset: treats the organisation’s technology outcomes as personally owned, not
