Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Chief Manager/AVP Corporate Legal role located in the Central Office of the Bank at Karur. The selected candidate will support the Head Legal and oversee legal aspects of the bank, provide strategic legal advice, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legal documents, ensuring regulatory adherence, managing litigation and dispute resolution, offering support to business units, and liaising with external legal counsel. The role also encompasses creating and implementing legal policies, managing contracts, and providing recommendations to mitigate legal risks.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Corporate Legal Strategy, Contract Management, and knowledge of Banking & Financial Laws
- Experience in Litigation Management, Dispute Resolution, and Regulatory Compliance
- Keen understanding of Drafting, Vetting of Agreements, and Legal Documentation
- Problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and excellent negotiation skills
- Proven experience in leading legal teams and working with cross-functional business units
- A degree in Law (LLB or equivalent)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders and external legal counsel
- Minimum 10-15 years of post-qualification experience in a corporate legal environment, preferably in the banking or financial services sector
