Meritto is a category leader in AI-powered Vertical SaaS in India, with a 500+ team built over an 8-year frugal journey. We are deeply invested in people, culture, and long-term growth, while operating in a high-speed, high-ownership environment.
As we enter the next phase of scale, we are hiring a CHRO - someone who has operated at scaled organizations, understands how strong people systems are built, and can bring that playbook into a fast-growing, evolving company like ours.
We are looking for a leader who has first-hand experience in scaling structures, processes, talent systems, and engagement frameworks — not just designing them, but owning outcomes in real environments.
This is not a comfort role.
Role is not for a policy-driven HR leader, but a business-first CHRO who builds high-performing teams at speed. This requires someone who can balance structure with agility, bring maturity without slowing down pace, and build a high-performance, people-first organization.
Reports directly to the Founder & CEO.
What You Will Drive
1. People Strategy & Organizational Scale
- Own the overall people strategy aligned to business growth and scale
- Build scalable org structures, operating rhythms, and governance
- Bring and implement proven scale playbooks
- Drive strong people metrics, visibility, and decision frameworks
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Own and scale the end-to-end hiring engine across all levels
- Build predictable leadership and high-quality talent pipelines
- Improve speed, quality, and cost efficiency of hiring
- Partner with leadership on org design and workforce planning
3. Performance, Engagement & Culture
- Drive a high-performance, ownership-driven culture
- Scale systems for goal setting, performance management, and accountability
- Scale engagement, retention, and internal mobility
4. Leadership Development & Capability Building
- Build strong leadership pipelines and succession plans
- Drive manager effectiveness and next-line readiness
- Create structured L&D programs aligned to business needs
- Enable teams to operate at higher productivity and ownership levels
Who This Role Is For
- 15+ years of experience across HR, Talent Acquisition, and People Leadership
- Strong track record of:
- Building and running HR systems and processes at scale
- Driving hiring, engagement, and performance outcomes
- Partnering closely with business and leadership teams
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment without over-structuring
- High energy, strong ownership, and clear business-first mindset
