Business Head – Digital
About the Role
Looking for a Business Head – Digital who will work closely with the founders to build and scale the digital business from the ground up. This is a high-ownership role with a direct impact on revenue, growth strategy, and brand positioning. You will lead end-to-end digital growth across D2C/e-commerce, performance marketing, and retention, while managing lean teams (freelancers/agencies).
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Growth & Revenue Ownership
- Own end-to-end online revenue and growth targets
- Scale from 100 orders/day to a high-growth trajectory
- Build and execute GTM strategy for D2C expansion
2. Performance Marketing & Channels
- Lead paid channels (Meta, Google, etc.) and optimize CAC/LTV
- Identify and scale new acquisition channels
3. Retention & Lifecycle Marketing
- Drive repeat purchases via CRM, WhatsApp, email, and loyalty programs
- Improve customer lifetime value and reduce churn
- Build retention playbooks for a women-focused TG
4. E-commerce & D2C Operations
- Oversee website funnel optimization (conversion, UX, CRO)
- Manage product listings, pricing, and promotional strategies
- Ensure seamless pan-India shipping and customer experience
5. Team & Stakeholder Management
- Work with external agencies, freelancers, and partners
- Collaborate closely with founders on business strategy
- Build and scale the internal digital team over time
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in D2C/e-commerce Digital Growth roles
- Prior experience with consumer brands (e.g., exposure to brands like Pilgrim or similar)
- Strong understanding of performance & retention marketing
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership
