Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the complete finance function of our mining, minerals, and international trading business.
This role requires deep expertise in finance, taxation, banking, and international trade finance, along with the ability to drive financial strategy, ensure compliance, and optimize working capital across domestic and global operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Lead end-to-end finance, accounts, taxation, treasury, audit, and compliance functions
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO on financial planning, growth, and expansion
- Drive profitability, cost optimization, and financial efficiency
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Deliver MIS, variance analysis, and actionable insights
- Present financial reports to management and stakeholders
Accounting & Controls
- Oversee financial statements, consolidation, and audits
- Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and governance frameworks
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Taxation & Compliance
- Handle GST, Income Tax, TDS, audits, assessments, and litigation
- Ensure full compliance with direct and indirect tax laws
- Manage ROC, statutory filings, and regulatory requirements
Trade Finance & Treasury
Manage:
- Letters of Credit (LC)
- Bank Guarantees (BG)
- Buyer’s/Supplier’s Credit
- Packing & Export Credit
- Import finance & bill discounting
- Handle banking relationships and funding structures
- Monitor forex exposure and hedging strategies
Working Capital & Banking
- Optimize receivables, payables, and inventory cycles
- Manage fund flow, liquidity, and credit facilities
- Negotiate with banks for working capital and trade finance limits
Operational & Mining Finance
- Track mine/project-wise profitability and cost structures
- Monitor royalties, logistics, procurement, and margins
- Support pricing and commercial decisions
Audit, Risk & Governance
- Lead internal, statutory, and tax audits
- Ensure strong financial governance and transparency
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, logistics, and legal teams
- Manage external stakeholders (banks, auditors, consultants, authorities)
Qualifications & Experience
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance (preferred)
- 12–20+ years of experience in finance leadership roles
- Strong exposure to mining, commodities, trading, or import-export sectors
- Proven experience handling complete finance function independently
