Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role based in Bengaluru. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, managing the development of financial statements, and preparing accurate financial reports. The role also involves the formulation and execution of financial strategies, ensuring compliance with global financial regulations, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver business objectives. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will provide strategic financial input to drive growth and enhance profitability.
The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board of Directors, overseeing the global financial strategy, capital structure, enterprise risk management, and macro-financial operations of the organization to maximize stakeholder value and ensure sustainable long-term growth.
Strategic Leadership & Corporate Planning
- Financial Strategy: Develop and execute a 3-to-5-year financial vision aligned with the company’s long-term commercial objectives.
- Capital Allocation: Evaluate and direct the deployment of corporate capital across business units, expansion projects, and R&D to maximize ROI.
- M&A and Expansion: Lead financial due diligence, corporate valuations, and contract negotiations for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, or international entity setups.
- Executive Advisory: Provide high-level financial counsel and actionable growth insights directly to the CEO, Board members, and investors.
Corporate Governance, Risk & Financial Control:
- Internal Control Frameworks: Establish robust financial policies, SOPs, and internal control systems to safeguard corporate assets and mitigate fraud.
- Statutory Sign-Off: Review, approve, and formally sign off on audited annual financial statements, quarterly earnings, and regulatory filings.
- Enterprise Risk Management (ERM): Identify, assess, and insulate the company from macro-economic, legal, tax, and commercial liabilities.
- External Audit Oversight: Direct the relationship with statutory auditors, ensuring seamless corporate governance and compliance with international/domestic accounting standards.
Operational Oversight & Performance Analytics:
- Macro-Budgetary Control: Approve consolidated corporate budgets, establish high-level cost-containment benchmarks, and review major CapEx requests.
- Executive MIS Presentation: Translate complex operational data and financial analysis into concise, high-level dashboards for Board review.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, lead, and evaluate the performance of senior financial leaders, including Finance Managers, Corporate Controllers, and Tax Heads.
Qualifications & Key Requirements:
Experience:
- 15+ years of progressive corporate finance experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior executive leadership role (VP of Finance, Head of Finance, or CFO).
Education:
- Master’s degree in Finance, MBA from a premier institution, or professional certification such as CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA.
Competencies:
- Deep expertise in corporate fundraising, debt restructuring, capital markets, and commercial negotiation. Exceptional communication skills for board-level and investor interactions.
- Expertise in Financial Planning and development of effective financial strategies
- Strong experience with preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and Reports
- Comprehensive knowledge of Finance, including budgeting and forecasting
- Exceptional Analytical Skills to support data-driven decision-making
- Ability to develop and present robust Financial Reporting aligned with global standards
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred; CPA/MBA is a plus
- Experience in food or FMCG industries is an advantage
