Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the hospital’s long-term financial strategy in alignment with clinical & business goals.
- Advise the CEO & Board on financial planning, capital structure, and business risks.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and modelling to support growth and expansion.
Financial Operations & Control
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, billing, collections, payables, payroll, and internal financial controls.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Lead annual budgeting and monitor departmental performance against financial targets.
Revenue Cycle & Cost Optimization
- Drive efficiency in revenue cycle management, including billing, claims processing, and collections.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in procurement, staffing, utilities, and vendor management.
- Optimize resource allocation for departments such as diagnostics, pharmacy, and operations.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations, tax laws, audit requirements, and accreditation standards (e.g., NABH, GST, FCRA).
- Oversee risk management, internal audit functions, and business continuity planning.
- Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory authorities.
Capital & Investment Management
- Oversee capital investment planning for infrastructure, technology & medical equipment.
- Lead efforts in fundraising, investor relations, mergers s acquisitions (M&A), and private equity negotiations if applicable.
- Evaluate ROI for new service lines, expansions or partnerships.
Team & System Leadership
- Lead and mentor the finance team to build strong, high-performing financial operations.
- Implement modern financial systems and tools (ERP, HIS, BI dashboards) for better visibility & efficiency.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and performance excellence.
