Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for leading the financial strategy, planning, and stewardship of A. S. Moloobhoy Pvt. Ltd. The CFO will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth objectives across India and international locations. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial reporting and consolidation, monitoring cash flow and working capital, and ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements. The CFO will lead the finance team, implement robust internal controls, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements. The role also involves partnering with senior leadership on investment decisions, cost optimization, risk management, and performance analysis to support strategic initiatives in the marine and training businesses.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance with proven experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably in marine, engineering, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
- Advanced skills in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Financial Statements and Financial Reporting in line with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex financial data, assess business performance, and provide clear, data-driven insights to leadership.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, or MBA in Finance (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Experience leading and developing finance teams, implementing internal controls, and working with auditors, banks, and external partners.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and financial software; strong Excel and data analysis capabilities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
