Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the hospital’s short-term and long-term business strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Drive growth initiatives including service line expansion, capacity optimization, and market penetration.
- Ensure alignment between clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability.
Operations Management
- Oversee end-to-end hospital operations including clinical services, nursing, diagnostics, support services, and administration.
- Implement best practices, SOPs, NABH/JCI standards, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor key operational KPIs such as occupancy, ALOS, TATs, patient satisfaction, and outcomes.
Financial & P&L Ownership
- Full responsibility for Profit & Loss, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
- Improve revenue streams, control expenses, and enhance EBITDA margins.
- Ensure strong billing, collections, AR management, and compliance with statutory requirements.
Clinical & Medical Leadership (Non-Clinical Interface)
- Work closely with Medical Director and department heads to ensure clinical governance and ethical practices.
- Support recruitment, retention, and engagement of key clinicians and consultants.
People & Culture
- Lead senior leadership team and build a performance-driven, patient-centric culture.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and leadership capability building.
- Ensure harmonious employee relations and adherence to HR policies.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and statutory norms.
- Proactively manage operational, financial, and medico-legal risks.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the face of the hospital with board members, investors, doctors, vendors, insurers, and government authorities.
- Build strong relationships with TPAs, corporates, and referral networks.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: MBA / MHA / PGDM (Hospital or Healthcare Management preferred)
- Experience: 15–18 years in healthcare, with at least 5–7 years in a senior leadership role (COO/Unit Head/CEO).
