Chief Engineer Office – Controls Engg Excellence Leader

The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills
- Manage Engineering Excellence Office, providing technical leadership for controls engineering organization; direct management of senior technical architects
- Serve as the final technical authority for controls design decisions, reviews, and escalations
- Act as subject matter expert in multiple controls technologies and systems-level thinking
- Lead, mentor, and develop controls engineers across ST, HRSG, BOP, control panels, networking, cybersecurity, and UX/HMI disciplines
- Own safety, quality, and compliance for the business; ensure compliance with applicable safety, regulatory, and cybersecurity standards
- Lead all safety-related RCAs and present to senior leadership; drive safety-first culture
- Act as final decision-maker on RCA closure; validate proper root causes, appropriate corrective and preventive actions, and effective implementation
- Develop collaborative relationships with client’s Chief Engineering Office and engineering leadership
- Build relationships with universities to support resourcing; develop internship / co-op programs
- Work with engineering management to maintain team skills matrix
- Support and present at governance meetings with company and customer executives to ensure customer satisfaction and alignment
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher with at least 15 years of relevant engineering experience in gas power controls
- Proven leadership and technical capability
- Experience driving performance and improvement in engineering technology
- Demonstrated global mindset and ability to collaborate effectively across cultures
- Ability to communicate and present effectively and clearly with management, peers, team members, and clients
