Role Description The Chief Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, overseeing all engineering, maintenance, and facility operations for Regenta Resort Sakleshpur. This position is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems to ensure safety, reliability, and guest comfort. The Chief Engineer leads the engineering team, assigns tasks, monitors performance, and ensures adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with resort management on project requirements, managing service vendors and contractors, monitoring energy usage, and controlling maintenance budgets. The role also involves implementing compliance with statutory regulations, handling emergency maintenance issues, maintaining documentation, and supporting upgrades and renovation projects to enhance the resort’s infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with hands-on experience in HVAC, building management systems, and general facility maintenance.
- Candidates should possess skills in maintenance planning, preventive maintenance scheduling, asset management, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Candidates should possess leadership and team management skills, including the ability to supervise engineering staff, delegate tasks, train team members, and foster a culture of safety and accountability.
- Candidates should possess project management and vendor coordination skills, including budgeting, cost control, negotiation, and oversight of contractors and service providers.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as compliance with local building codes, fire safety norms, and statutory requirements.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with resort management, front-of-house teams, and external stakeholders.
- Degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or a related field) from a recognized institution is preferred,
