Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mumbai for Chief Engineer and Third Engineer positions. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the engineering department, ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all machinery onboard. The Third Engineer will assist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, and support the Chief Engineer in various tasks. Both roles require adherence to safety protocols, compliance with maritime regulations, and collaboration with the crew to ensure smooth vessel operations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Maintenance & Repair of ship machinery and equipment
- Thorough understanding and certification in STCW requirements
- Strong expertise in Maritime operations and compliance with international maritime laws
- Knowledge and training in Firefighting procedures and emergency response
- Experience in handling Petroleum-related operations and safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- A valid Certificate of Competency as Chief Engineer or Third Engineer
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable
