We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to join our team and oversee all aspects of regulatory compliance within our organization. The CCO will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Additionally, the CCO will lead efforts to promote a culture of compliance throughout the firm and provide guidance to senior management on compliance-related matters.
🎯Key Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for corporate finance and accounting/compliance functions including the following functions:
- Development of necessary systems for accounting Supervision of accounts preparation, and liaising with internal audit, and statutory audit for all entities including the portfolio companies of the fund.
- Assisting in due diligence of prospective portfolio companies.
- Compliances including any compliances related to Gift City/ IFSC, PPM compliances for investment compliances.
- Investor communication Tax planning and filings; Supervising secretarial formalities.
- Internal controls to ensure necessary checks and balances, risk management, and safeguarding assets of the company.
- HR related including payroll processing, Cash flow planning, day to day cash management, including setting up credit limits.
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies and procedures by applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the firm's operations, advising senior management on necessary actions to maintain compliance.
💻 Skill Sets:
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong academic background (passed on 1st attempt)
- Experience: 3 – 4 years of relevant experience in a reputable CA firm or working as a CFO in a services business.
- High level of drive, willing to learn and discipline in adhering to timelines.
- Excellent academics, fluent in English speaking and writing, possess the ability to pay attention to detail and be able to express themselves clearly.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
