Job Summary:
The Chief Civil Engineer will lead and oversee all civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring quality construction, structural integrity, safety compliance, cost control, and timely project execution. The role requires strong expertise in structural engineering, project management, vendor coordination, and team leadership. The candidate must possess extensive experience in large-scale civil and infrastructure projects and provide strategic direction for engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise all civil and structural engineering activities across projects.
- Review and approve structural designs, drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality norms.
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, execution, and completion within timelines.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
- Conduct structural inspections and ensure stability and durability of all constructions.
- Monitor construction progress and resolve technical and site-related issues.
- Manage resource allocation, vendor performance, and project documentation.
- Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency in all engineering activities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering and site teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in civil construction and structural engineering projects.
- Must possess strong structural engineering experience.
- Thorough knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Spiritually mature with values aligned to the ministry’s mission and culture.
