Ananya Finance for Inclusive Growth Pvt. Ltd. (Ananya) is a socially motivated, Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) that facilitates formal credit access to the underserved population of India. It is committed to reaching the sections of the population that remain excluded from the credit, focusing on reaching out to underserved women. At present, Ananya offers its customers Micro Enterprise Loans, and through its subsidiary Prayas Financial Services Pvt. Ltd., it caters to the microfinance borrower segment.
About the Role
The Chief Business Officer will be the primary driver of Ananya Finance's commercial growth agenda. This is a Key Management role responsible for charting and executing the company's revenue strategy, expanding its market footprint, and building high-impact partnerships across the financial services ecosystem. The CBO will work closely with the MD & CEO and the broader leadership team to translate vision into tangible business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the end-to-end revenue strategy, encompassing new business acquisition, client retention, and expansion into new geographies and segments.
- Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with banks, NBFCs, fintech platforms, and other financial institutions to accelerate growth.
- Build and lead high-performing sales and business development teams with a strong performance culture.
- Drive product-market fit by working closely with product and technology teams to align offerings with client needs and market demand.
- Represent Ananya Finance at industry forums, conferences, and with key stakeholders to build brand visibility and credibility.
- Collaborate with marketing to design go-to-market strategies for new products and geographies.
- Monitor competitive landscape and market trends to proactively shape strategic responses.
- Report business performance and insights to the Board and investors as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-graduate degree in Business, Finance, or a related field from a reputed institution.
- Significant experience of atleast 18+ years, ideally between age range of 43-47 years, in a senior commercial leadership role within financial services; lending, payments, insurance, or fintech preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of building revenue from the ground up and scaling business operations.
- Deep understanding of the Indian financial services landscape, including regulatory environment and distribution channels.
- Strong relationship management skills with experience working with institutional clients and strategic partners.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presence.
