Fortune Agrima, the agriculture arm of Fortune Rice Ltd, is building the operational layer that gets modern agri-technology from offices to farmers at scale. We are a profitable, vertically integrated group working directly with 5,000 contract farmers across 30,000+ acres in Uttar Pradesh and Central India, with deep partnerships across industry, government and research.
We are hiring a Chief Agriculture Officer to lead the farm-side engine of the group. You will report directly to the promoter and join the leadership group that shapes how Fortune expands into adjacent businesses.
What you will own:
Contract farming and agri-extension
· Streamline operations, field officer SOPs, and monitoring
· Make our agri-advisory and techniques the best in the market
· Plan field and extension for new crops such as oilseeds, fruits and vegetables
Agri-inputs
· Identify inputs that create value for us and for the farmer
· Lead field R&D for inputs and agri-tech trials
· Improve technical operations for seeds
Carbon and sustainability
· Turn AWD, residue management and soil practices into a monetizable carbon program
Team and strategy
· Strengthen and grow the team of field officers, agronomists and R&D staff
· Shape group strategy alongside the promoters
Who we are looking for:
· A senior strategy leader who is fluent in agronomy
· Comfortable building from zero and close to the field
· A track record with institutional partners
Requirements and qualifications:
· 12+ years in agriculture, with senior leadership experience across contract farming, agronomy, agri-inputs or agri-extension
· A degree in agriculture, agronomy, agricultural science or a related field
· Proven track record building or scaling field operations from the ground up
· Experience working with institutional partners such as input companies, research institutes, government bodies or agri-tech providers
· Strong understanding of modern agronomy and farm technology
· Fluency in Hindi and English
Compensation: Rs 30 to 40 lakhs per year, plus incentive and meaningful equity in the future entity.
Location: Uttar Pradesh (near Jewar / Greater Noida), on-site, with travel across UP and MP.
