About the Role
We are looking for an experienced academic leader to lead an interdisciplinary higher-education vertical spanning Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Industrial IoT, Automation, Building Management Technology and Applied AI.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of academic leadership, statutory compliance, research, industry exposure, technology expertise and institutional management.
This is a senior leadership role requiring demonstrated experience across both academic governance and industry/technology environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead academic planning, governance and quality across multiple technology-focused programmes.
- Own curriculum design, academic standards, outcome-based education and CO–PO attainment.
- Lead AICTE approvals, compliance, accreditation preparation and university/statutory coordination.
- Drive NBA/NAAC readiness, documentation and audit compliance.
- Lead faculty recruitment, development, appraisal and competency-building initiatives.
- Oversee technology-enabled laboratories, industry/OEM-linked academic delivery and laboratory utilisation.
- Build and manage industry partnerships for curriculum development, certifications, internships, live projects and placements.
- Lead research, publications, doctoral supervision, funded research proposals and IP development.
- Drive placement outcomes, industry engagement and executive/corporate education initiatives.
- Manage academic budgets, operational risks and resource planning.
Mandatory Eligibility
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline such as AI, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Building Services or Technology-focused Management.
- First Class or equivalent at Bachelor's or Master's level, with relevant M.E./M.Tech. or two-year full-time MBA/PGDM where applicable.
- Minimum 10 years of combined teaching, research and industry experience.
- Minimum 3 years at Associate Professor level or above.
- Minimum 10 research publications in SCI, Scopus or UGC-CARE listed journals.
- Demonstrated Ph.D. supervision experience or recognised doctoral guide status.
- Minimum 3 years of industry, consulting or corporate leadership experience.
Essential Dual-Track Experience
Candidates must demonstrate both:
Industry & Technology
- Industrial automation, AI deployment, robotics, IIoT or building automation experience.
- Exposure through an automation OEM, system integrator, manufacturing environment, facilities operation or technology consultancy.
Academic & Management
- Leadership of an academic department, school, programme or accreditation cycle.
- Experience with faculty, academic outcomes, budgets and/or accreditation responsibilities.
Ideal Candidate
