Role Description The Chess Instructor will deliver online, interactive chess classes to learners aged 5 to 18, using structured lesson plans and age-appropriate teaching methods. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson content, demonstrating strategies and tactics, guiding practice games, and providing constructive feedback to support skill development. The instructor will assess learner progress, organize practice sessions or internal tournaments, and collaborate with the team to improve curriculum and teaching materials. This is a full-time remote role, requiring consistent availability for scheduled classes, regular communication with learners and guardians, and adherence to TalentCraft India’s teaching standards and policies.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Chess skills, including opening principles, tactics, strategy, and endgame knowledge.
- Candidates should possess solid Mathematics skills to support logical thinking and problem-solving activities in chess instruction.
- Candidates should possess Teaching and Tutoring experience, especially with children and teens in an online learning environment.
- Candidates should possess Training skills, including designing lesson plans, structuring practice sessions, and evaluating learner performance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly to different age groups.
- Patience, empathy, and a learner-centered approach, with commitment to inclusivity and respectful interaction.
- Comfort with digital tools and online platforms for live classes, assessments, and learner engagement.
- Prior experience as a chess coach, tournament player, or relevant certification in chess instruction is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred; equivalent experience in teaching or coaching will be considered.
