Job Description
Young Grandmasters Chess Academy (YGCA) is a premium global chess academy, operating across multiple countries and with offline centers in Bengaluru.
We are led by former Karnataka State Champions and international players, and we specialize in building strong chess foundations and developing competitive players.
We are currently looking for a passionate Offline Chess Coach to join our growing team in Bengaluru.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with kids, has a strong interest in chess, and wants to be part of a fast-growing, high-quality academy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct chess classes for kids (beginner to intermediate level)
- Teach fundamentals, tactics, and structured lessons
- Ensure engaging and interactive sessions for students
- Help students improve their gameplay and thinking skills
- Maintain discipline and a positive classroom environment
- Travel to assigned locations (Vijayanagar, RR Nagar, Kanakapura Road)
- Coordinate with the YGCA team for curriculum and progress
Qualifications
- Basic to good chess knowledge (tournament experience is a plus)
- Prior coaching or teaching experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with kids
- Passion for chess and teaching
- Ability to travel within Bangalore
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Job Details
- Location: Bengaluru (Offline)
- Areas: Vijayanagar, RR Nagar, Kanakapura Main Road
- Time Commitment: 4–5 hours per week
- Compensation: Very competitive (based on experience)
- Travel Allowance: Provided
