Position Overview

Cherry Hills Christian School is seeking a Christ-centered, passionate, and collaborative Part-Time Middle School Spanish Teacher who will joyfully partner in our mission to prepare students to live fully for God. The ideal candidate will cultivate a love for language learning while integrating biblical truth, fostering academic growth, and building meaningful relationships with students and families.

The Part-Time Middle School Spanish Teacher will provide engaging Spanish instruction for students in grades 6–8 while contributing to a unified, mission-aligned school culture that seeks to Think Biblically, Live Faithfully, and Lead Courageously.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Spanish instruction to middle school students in grades 6–8 
  • Reflect the purpose of the school by honoring Christ in every class and integrating biblical principles and perspectives throughout instruction 
  • Plan collaboratively alongside grade-level teams for quarters and semesters, incorporating programs of study that meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students 
  • Utilize effective teaching techniques to achieve curriculum goals within the framework of the school’s mission 
  • Employ a variety of instructional aids, methods, and materials that provide creative, engaging instruction addressing the whole child—spiritually, mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally 
  • Maintain a classroom environment that reflects grace, consistency, and strong classroom management 
  • Assess student learning regularly and maintain accurate attendance and grade records 
  • Understand and implement all building emergency procedures 
  • Assist with lunch and recess duties as assigned 
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and ongoing growth as an educator 

Cultivate Positive Relationships with Students and Families

  • Connect relationally with students and families in all interactions 
  • Develop and maintain positive rapport with students and parents 
  • Maintain consistent, timely, and professional communication with families 
  • Represent Cherry Hills Christian School in a favorable and professional manner 
  • Respect professional ethics and confidentiality regarding students, parents, and staff 
  • Pray for the students and families served through the ministry of the school

Reports To: Director of Middle School
Position Type: Part-Time, Exempt
Schedule: 2026/2027 school-year 

Hours: Monday, Thursday, and Friday 1:15 – 3:45 p.m. & Tuesdays 2:15 – 3:45 pm
Salary Range: $13,000 - $19,000 annual (based on experience)
Location: Cherry Hills Christian School – Highlands Ranch, CO

Requirements


QUALIFICATIONS

  • A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ that is evident in both personal and professional life 
  • Agreement with and commitment to uphold the school’s mission statement, values, Essentials of Faith, and faith statement 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university 
  • Advanced degree preferred 
  • State teaching certification preferred 
  • Willingness to pursue continuing education and professional growth 
  • Strong instructional and classroom management skills 
  • Ability to integrate a biblical worldview into curriculum and classroom culture 
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues 
  • Professional attitude and appearance 
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check 
  • Demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with middle school students and families 
  • Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance instruction 
  • A growth mindset and eagerness to continually improve professionally 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching Spanish at the middle school level 
  • Experience in Christian or independent school education 
  • Familiarity with best practices in world language instruction and curriculum development 
  • Must agree to the mission statement, values, and faith statement
