We seek to cultivate the whole child — mind, body, and spirit — through rigorous academics, vibrant arts, and competitive athletics.

Position Overview

Cherry Hills Christian School (CHC) is seeking a Christ-centered, visionary, and relational Athletic Director to lead and steward a growing athletics department that develops student-athletes in skill, character, and faith. This role provides strategic direction, spiritual leadership, and operational oversight for all middle school athletic programs. The Athletic Director serves as the primary leader and ambassador of CHC Athletics, cultivating a positive, competitive, and discipleship-focused culture. This individual will also champion the physical development of students by integrating age-appropriate strength, conditioning, and wellness principles across athletics programs. The ideal candidate is a servant-leader who combines strong administrative acumen with a pastoral heart, models Christ-like leadership, and demonstrates the Ideal Team Player traits of humility, hunger, people-smarts, positivity, and loyalty.

  • Ensure effective systems and processes for daily operations
  • Maintain oversight of eligibility, registrations, physicals, and compliance documentation
  • Ensure adherence to league, conference, and school policies, including safety and training requirements

Athletic Performance & Student Development

  • Explore opportunities for student fitness initiatives, skill development sessions, and optional training opportunities

Budgeting & Financial Stewardship

  • Develop, manage, and steward the athletics department budget with integrity and foresight
  • Forecast expenses, track sport-specific budgets, and ensure responsible allocation of resources
  • Oversee purchasing, maintenance, and lifecycle planning of equipment and uniforms
  • Collaborate with school leadership on long-term financial planning and program sustainability

Communication & Community Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for athletics-related communication
  • Communicate schedules, expectations, and updates clearly and proactively
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, league partners, and visiting schools
  • Foster community engagement through events such as awards nights and athletics gatherings

Program Growth & Strategic Development

  • Lead long-term planning for athletics offerings, staffing, and facility usage
  • Stay informed on best practices in Christian school athletics and youth performance training
