Job Summary:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Coordinator Advertising role is responsible for selling classified and display advertising across print and digital platforms. This role identifies and cultivates prospective clients, assesses advertising needs, and recommends appropriate solutions to support client objectives. The Coordinator tracks sales activity, maintains strong client relationships, and collaborates with department leadership to achieve advertising revenue goals. The position also supports the coordination, review and delivery of advertising content to ensure accuracy, quality and adherence to established standards.
Job Duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develops and maintains a portfolio of advertising accounts through prospecting, relationship building, and consistent outreach.
• Meets with prospective and existing clients to identify advertising needs and recommend tailored print and digital advertising solutions.
• Coordinates the creation, design, and preparation of advertising layouts, copy, and promotional materials.
• Reviews advertising content and placement to ensure compliance with client specifications, departmental guidelines, and publication standards.
• Serves as a liaison between clients, internal teams, and external vendors to support efficient and timely advertising production and delivery.
• Gathers and analyzes information about client advertising history, market trends, and competitor activity to support effective sales presentations.
• Prepares and presents advertising proposals, cost estimates, and rate information; negotiates pricing within approved parameters.
• Assists clients in establishing advertising goals, budgets, and campaign schedules.
• Coordinates the collection and processing of advertising payments in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintains accurate and up‑to‑date account information, sales metrics, and customer data in department databases.
• Monitors campaign performance and provides follow‑up communication and service to ensure client satisfaction.
• Works collaboratively with internal staff to develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies that support revenue objectives.
• Prepares regular reports on sales activity, advertising performance, and revenue outcomes for department management.
• Ensures adherence to organizational policies, advertising guidelines, and applicable industry standards.
• Represents the department at community events, networking opportunities, or trade functions as needed to promote advertising services.
• Performs other duties, tasks, and services consistent with this position as assigned.

• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
• Provides leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group as lead.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two (2) years related experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting.
