Chemplast Sanmar is a leading manufacturchemical sector, managing large-scale industrial operations. Led the 3,500- acre unionised manufacturing facility, overseeing 1,100+ workforce across production, HR, finance, security, industrial relations, safety and compliance. Reported to the Group Operations Head and directly managed DGM Production, AGM Mechanical, AGM Electrical, AGM Civil, Security Head, Liaison Head, Senior Manager Accounts, HR Head and Safety & Compliance Head. Role Overview: · End-to-End Plant Management: Led operations ensuring 100% production target achievement (3 lakh tons annually), seamless departmental coordination and strict adherence to shop floor discipline and safety protocols with zero reportable injuries. Achieved THREE STAR Ratings for three years continuously (a first for this location) · P&L & Budget Oversight: Managed 200 Cr+ annual revenue, optimizing operational costs through 16 Cr CRM budget and 6 Cr R&M budget, ensuring efficiency in production and maintenance processes. · Union & Industrial Relations: Successfully negotiated with union employees, reducing labor disputes by more than 60%, fostering a stable work environment and ensuring continuous production. · Regulatory & Compliance Management: Secured timely renewals of CTO, licenses and statutory permissions by maintaining strong relations with government officials (PCB, DISH, Collector, RDO, DRO, Police officials and local authorities). Resolved a 20-year-old land dispute with forest department and facilitated the lease renewal pending for 9 years through persistent engagement with the revenue department. · Security & Risk Management: Overhauled security measures, reducing losses by 80% through SOP revisions, 24x7 surveillance and AI-integrated monitoring systems, saving 20 lakh annually. · Stakeholder & Government Liaison: Maintained strong relationships with local authorities, revenue department, local leaders and regulatory bodies, ensuring smooth operations and uninterrupted business activities. · Infrastructure & Modernization Projects: Led 80 Cr+ modernization initiatives, including: · New Washery Facility - 15 Cr · Brine Condensation Plant - 45 Cr · Mechanization of Production - 3.5 Cr (60% implemented) · Warehouse Facility Optimization (Security, Safety, & Logistics Management) · Community & Facility Management: Oversaw canteens, housing complexes and workforce amenities, ensuring high living standards and efficient facility upkeep. · Operational Strategy & Workforce Development: Implemented mechanization in loading/unloading operations, reducing dependency on manual labour and increasing productivity.
