Role Description The CHEMISTRY ADVANCED FACULTY role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ponnur. The faculty member will plan and deliver advanced Chemistry lectures and tutorials, including Physical Chemistry topics, aligned with the institution’s curriculum and academic standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting classroom teaching, designing assessments, evaluating student performance, and providing academic guidance and mentoring. The role also involves contributing to curriculum development, participating in departmental meetings, and engaging in scholarly activities such as research or academic projects. The faculty member is expected to maintain a positive classroom environment, adopt effective pedagogical approaches, and collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in Chemistry, including Physical Chemistry, with the ability to teach advanced-level concepts clearly and effectively.
- Working knowledge of related scientific disciplines such as Physics to provide interdisciplinary context and support integrated learning.
- Experience in Curriculum Development and academic planning, including designing lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials.
- Research skills relevant to Chemistry or science education, with the ability to incorporate current developments into teaching.
- Master’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a closely related field from a recognized institution; doctoral qualifications are an advantage.
- Previous teaching experience at secondary or higher education level, preferably in advanced or competitive-exam-focused programs.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and mentoring skills, with a commitment to inclusive and learner-centered teaching.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administration, demonstrate professional integrity, and contribute to institutional development.
