We are seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer to lead and support the design validation, process engineering, and system integration activities related to Chemical Laser Systems. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in chemical process systems, fluid handling, reactive chemical environments, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) with hands-on experience in validating complex chemical systems for high-performance and strategic applications.
The role requires close coordination with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electronics, optics, controls, and systems engineering teams to ensure robust system design, performance validation, reliability, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead design validation and technical evaluation of Chemical Laser Systems and associated subsystems.
* Review, develop, and validate Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) for complex chemical process systems.
* Evaluate system architecture involving chemical flow systems, gas handling, pressure systems, reactive chemicals, vacuum systems, and thermal management.
* Perform process validation, design verification, and performance analysis of chemical process modules used in laser systems.
* Ensure proper integration between chemical, mechanical, instrumentation, controls, and optical systems.
* Conduct hazard analysis, process safety reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode evaluations for hazardous/reactive chemical environments.
* Support development of test procedures, validation protocols, and acceptance criteria for subsystem and system-level qualification.
* Review vendor designs, technical specifications, and process equipment for suitability and compliance with project requirements.
* Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system performance optimization.
* Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, defence requirements, and safety protocols.
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring to cross-functional engineering teams.
