Qualifications:
● Must hold a valid teaching certificate (JX,JQ)
● Dual Certification preferred
● Highly Qualified Teacher status
● Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills
● Demonstrate problem solving skills that address challenges that may arise in the classroom
● Promote creative thinking opportunities for students
● Value a collaborative approach to teaching and learning
● Incorporate the principles of design thinking into planning and teaching
Job Responsibilities:
● Develop and deliver engaging vocal music instruction aligned with elementary music standards and grade level expectations.
● Teach foundational vocal skills including pitch matching, rhythm, breathing, posture, tone, and performance techniques.
● Foster student confidence, creativity, and a love of music through positive and inclusive classroom experiences.
● Differentiate instruction to support a wide range of learning styles, abilities, and student needs.
● Maintain a structured, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.
● Prepare students for school performances, including seasonal and spring concerts, through regular rehearsals and performance practice.
● Attend and support one spring evening performance
● Assist with supervision duties, school events, and other building responsibilities as assigned.
● Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support additional tasks and needs throughout the school building.
● Maintain organization of music materials, instruments, performance spaces, and classroom resources.
● Promote positive relationships with students, staff, and families while contributing to a supportive school culture
